A leading Chinese engine component manufacturer has announced plans to invest in a casting production base in West Java Province, Indonesia, focusing on manufacturing cylinder liners (for automobiles and motorcycles) and aluminum alloy die-cast parts. The first-phase project, valued at USD 50 million, is slated for completion in 2026 with an annual production capacity of 3 million units.

The company cited Indonesia’s booming motorcycle market, stable labor supply, and government tax incentives as key factors for selecting the location. Advanced technologies, including full-automatic centrifugal casting lines and digital quality control systems, will be implemented to meet international standards.

This move underscores China’s accelerating "going-global" strategy in the casting industry, with deeper integration into Indonesia’s local supply chains.
