In response to global carbon neutrality trends, Indonesia's Ministry of Industry is planning to establish multiple Green Foundry Industrial Parks in Sumatra and Kalimantan regions. These parks will feature integrated systems such as natural gas-based heating, waste sand recycling systems, and waste heat recovery units, while encouraging the adoption of electric arc furnaces and induction furnaces to replace coal-based melting processes.

The government will offer land incentives and import equipment tariff exemptions to attract enterprises. Pilot projects are slated to launch in 2026. Industry experts emphasize that this initiative will elevate Indonesia’s foundry sector’s environmental standards and strengthen its competitiveness in global supply chains.
